Alabama Victim Assistance Portal
AVAP connects crime victims, survivors, and their families to trusted services and support across Alabama. The portal was developed by VOCAL—Victims of Crime and Leniency—an organization that has been supporting crime victims since 1982.
VOCAL's main website offers news, statewide programs, chapter information, and other ways to learn about the organization and get involved beyond this portal.
What you can find here
Through AVAP you can find agencies that provide advocacy, counseling, legal assistance, financial support programs, and other services for crime victims.
Using the site
Use the search and filters on the Home page to search by service type or county and locate help near you. Each resource has a "View on map" button to see its location. The Calendar page offers another way to explore upcoming events.
